Lovely colour, interesting mods. Do they continue under the bonnet?

Mmmmmm..... Electronic ignition, other 'leccy mods, is that a non-standard carb? (mine has a 40DFAV), running an alternator - no doubt all good stuff smile

It belonged to a guy called Jeff (his surname escapes me at present) in Halifax for many years, he sold it when he moved to the West Indies to open a bar. I bought a set of Wolfies from him, it would be about 2005/6. Was a real TVR enthusiast back in the 1980s, he also had PWC600 which is now a racer. I don't think he put the front spoiler or rear lip on it, they have been it on for ages. I last sa it at the Pre 80s meeting at Ruddington Park in 2008.

Oliver.

The car came out of the blue, just had a look on car and classic this afternoon, and David Geralds had quite literally that minute listed the car. Its not perfect by any stretch, and has some minor mods etc, but i liked it instantly and the price i thought from a Dealer was very fair indeed. (read---bought unseen and on pure instinct only....fate even..) wink Hope none of you shoot me down with any horror stories of this car !biggrin

almost the same as this one :-)

or is it the same but with other plates?

When I look under details from the 5 or so pictures I have from that car, the oldest date is 15-10-2007 so I guess the advert is from about that time?

That would be about right. The last owner has owned the car for 7 years. Can you post up any other pictures please?

Sandy

These photos look familiar. From what I remember, the ad stated the owner was emigrating, which ties in with what Oliver is saying.

Great find Sandy. I wish you many happy miles and loads of fun.

Is this the first Tuscan for sale this year in the UK?

That is the same car, the owner was called Jeff Pole (the name came to me a couple of days ago) which ties in with the registration plate. Those photos are taken outside the lock up garage where he stored it in Sowerby Bridge, and where I collected the Wolfies from. He had a wine bar in Sowerby Bridge called Bar Francisca, which was his second wife's name and she was from the West Indies which was they had decided to emigrate to open a bar in a far better climate than the middle of the Pennines.

Sorry I can't remember which island they were moving to, but I suggest to get the rest of your new car's history you need to take a long holiday, stopping at bars in Barbados, Jamaica, Antigua...

Oliver.

I know a little about DWY, if you've any questions just ask. Jeff claimed the engine was rebuilt with big valves and fast road cam just before he sold it. It certainly sounds good. I have a couple of plcs when it had a vinyl roof, I'll post them when I get time. The carb is a 40 DFI.
