you know its funny..There are people out there who do it just for the love…

Look what arrived in a box for me today out of the blue to go with my non standard nobs…

Apparently re-manufactured with all the age correct TVR additions..
Lovely.

I haven't paid anything for them. I think they were a present.
I would speak to Adrian directly.

That is even less than a fiver as suggested by yourself.
Adrian must be living from the air.
I am fishing behind the net. Although ..?.?.
At least I have the originals. But missing the knobs.

Great afternoon at our local East Kent meet with Phils Tuscan and Peters Beautiful Vixen
Since Peter had his Vixen he has had issues with the Bonnet popping up and after various trials and errors it was clear there was wear in one of the Catches even to the point of wanting to buy the set I had however as he had a set though worn I thought that may be a waste.

However he has come up with a solution not quite OE but certainly has worked well as he has no issues with it popping up and the parts where easily available using Lotus s2 components which are available from a number of places originally for cable operation but simple to convert to pull handle so his new OE T bar handles are still on the other end he suggested it might be good if I shared with others.

What's the difference that makes these work Andrew, just they aren't worn?
That's not a trick question it may be its the way you've explained it smile

Direct fit no modifications required personally I would of given then a spray of zink spray to tone down the gold colour but a great alternative

Maybe this is clearer here are the pictures of the Lotus Parts that are available and at £80 plus postage make a good alternative I am sure someone will be modifying them to make them look like OE however they work just as is

To resurrect, are these Lotus bonnet pins adjustable in length? My pins seem to be threaded which means they can be adjusted to suit differing catch positions.

No bulkhead catch needs small adjustment

Its a lot simpler adjusting the pin Andrew moving the catch risks putting it out of line with the bulkhead hole, paint damage etc
The old pins were adjustable and look original judging by the condition and a hole behind the pin to allow for it to project

I agree Al however if you haven't got them then its an alternative ideally using the Lotus bulkhead catch makes a great connection and does not need moving as without the cup the pins are the right length

....still easier just to order some OE adjustable ones they're still made.
