Normally to get that John...they need the back welding and dressing and the back plate modifying to allow the ball joint to slide through...it needs looking at to be sure that those figures can be attained.

Not wishing to contradict Adrian, bu I currently run those settings. I am not aware of any mods that were needed to get to that point, but I will say tyhe more I look at our "ex works Production Race Car" the more I wonder how legal it was in its days. I will post a photo of the wish bone and some odd looking rear uprights as an example of what probably is not a production part when I can, but uploading seems to be an issue at the moment?Adrian@

I know I have mentioned it before ..that you can miss-match early wishbones on a late chassis and get better camber adjustment. Are your castings 'undressed' and so still have the casting flashing across the top (as such adding strength). I don't think legal or illegal came into it, 'in those days', as long as you turned wearing nicely polished brogues and tucked your cravat in nicely..the car got passed by the scrutineer. LOL.

PM me them anyway...

I'm in the process of making new top wishbones. For 2 reasons, wider rims and more negative camber. I'll post pictures when completed, but one important thing will be to replace the original ball joint with a triumph stag lower ball joint, and move the adjustment from teh ball joint, to the bushings (like on the rear lower wishbone)
I'd love to see a copy as well, if you'd be so kind.
That weight loss program is severe. 750 is truly amazing! It represents a 25% reduction from the factory quoted curb weight! I may have to do a CF sunroof panel, or eliminate it. I feel FAT! Face it, you make the rest of us look bad.
Best,
B.

If someone kame a mould for a fiber glass replacement for the sunroof, will I be more than interested. One qustion will be if it shall be a single piece or split in 2, and if it shall be sliding or just removable
Mads, The one I made, for my car, uses wood as a framework, and the shell is fiberglass. I'll take pictures, over the weekend.

Currently the interior is already gone except for the dash...All windows gone to plastic and fixed. Lost all the window winders and door handles....only a piece of wire to open. Thinking of doing a carbon fibre bonnet. As well as the usual things with the engine.
Diff is a hard one finding a mag casing is near to impossible but will continue the search. All fixings are aerospace type including fuel lines etc...
It will be an ongoing project I'm sure since I've added weight by having two seats and the fire extinguishers
Any other tips welcomed. Cooling is modified as we are going to run twin kenlows and uprated aluminium rad along with a 21row oil cooler...Also some triple webers and a custom exhaust manifolds and pipes.

They are away being polished and lacquered. Yep you need the bulge...debating whether to go for air filters on the trumpets or a plenum chamber.... Any ideas?
Not had much joy with plenums. I run a PiperX filter intended for a V8 and it works well.3 K@Ns starve the middle carb of air.
Is your raised bonnet section open at the back?
Ohhhh DCNFs!
I am looking for four DCNF40s to use on my Daimler V8 powered Vixen.
Could I ask you to take some measurements of them? It would greatly simplify my decision to buy some if you could measure the following:
1. Height from base to top
2. Center bore to backside of float chamber
3. Center bore to front choke mechanism
4. Overall width
5. Center to center venturi on the Essex manifold
Need to follow this build

Hey so us...afraid these are 42's so if you still want me to measure them I can...let me know as I belive these carbs are quite hard to find
As Slow M says I would believe they are the same casting just different machining, so if you could do some measurements I would be grateful Gassing Station | TVR Classics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
