Do anybody know the source for the handles that open the doors from the inside.

My problem is that the RHD cars and only lock the left door by pushing the handle forward, the right one can't. And as I have converted to LHD, can't I lock the door from the inside, and as I have swap'ed the 2 external push buttons in order to make the driver / left door lckable from the outside, did that operation make the right door miss the key hole, so that can't be locked from the outside. All in all, now the left door is lockable from both inside and outside, and the right door non-lockable from both outside and inside..... very...british :-)

I think the inner handles are the same as the chrome bumper MGB?

Take the rivet out of the front of the lever mech and it will become lockable. I do it all the time to add central locking.

Oooo...clever! I always wondered why only one would lock from inside. Since it stops one from locking ones self out l've never investigated the "how?"

Door solenoids lain horizontally (double latches on the rods to the bar) and operating the bar across the door work fine once the rivet is removed, blank door buttons and a sealed acumate plug tucked into the inner wing top to charge the system/get in in an emergency...simples.

The rivet to be removed...
