All the lovely photos of Tuscan V6s in the Early TVR Pics thread has got me wondering:-

Were they ever produced in S4 guise?

Were any left hand drive V6s made?

Thanks,

Chris

Cannot say for certain, but in my insane period of research looking for a tuscan i am sure i would have stumbled over one or the other and did not. Not much help conclusively but just my observations..

As far as I know the Tuscan V6 was replaced by the 2500 (for emissions reasons) in late 1970/early 1971 and so all had the Vixen chassis. I have a feeling that some left hooker Tuscan V6s were built, but only a handful.

As I remember reading the history in the Robson book, it said that the Essex was not approved in US (and other places) but the Triumph 2500 was, from the US version TR6 (with carbs), so they used that engine instead.

I guess this means there were probably only a couple (if any) LHD factory Tuscan V6s...
