Where can I buy a low ratio Vixen/Triumph diff, either the 4.55 or 4.875?
Local tech regs dictate I must use Triumph so no possibility of conversion.
Preferably used.

Those ratios seem extremely low, even for sprinting..

Jigsaw Racing and Canley Classics would be my first ports of call.

Tractor supply?

Seriously, I've never heard of anything automotive, as low as 4.875:1. What's your proposed use? Is your differential Spitfire, or TR derived? You may want to ask in drag racing circles.

Upon looking, I found that Revington and Rimmer both still list this ratio, as being available (periodically), for TR diffs. It should be said, that you would essentially give up highway driving, by installing this ratio.

Triumph part #515709.

In fact, Roadster Factory state that:
RTR1228 Crown Wheel and Pinion Set, 5.13 : 1
RTR1227 Crown Wheel and Pinion Set, 5.25 : 1
RTR1278 Crown Wheel and Pinion Set, 6.67 : 1
are available through Revington.

Best regards,
Bernard.

They are available sizes Bernard but generally for early low capacity cars I think. As ever the diff ratio would depend upon the box ratios to be used..They are low though..Maybe he has built a screamer!

Go to an old school Triumph service/repair garage or just look on fleabay until one comes up.

I ran a 5.3 in a hillclimb Midget in the 80s which I thought was bonkers until I got to Baitings or Scammonden and smoked 'em all. I have run a 4.875 in a race MGB - but with overdrive. Rather depends on you wheels and tyre profile eg rally escorts often run 4.7, 5.1 or 5.3
