Never make adjustments on a race car that end in a set up you've not tested prior to racing... wink

To find the limits generally means that occasionally you have to overstep them…Overstepping is OK provided that you land in something soft biggrin

And another topic, as you can see on the photo. Did my sunroof blast off during the sprint, so now that's up for repair.

Question is if it's possible to get an replacement cover that match the color of my roof, or if I shall make a foldable aluminium solution or just an removable plate ala "targa"

Do you have a link for the company that make the replacements ?

I had the same discussion with the national FIA, as rally cars need to be closed. But as they have approved a lotus 7 did that topic end the discussion :-)

Hey Mads

I found it very helpful to reduce the grip available as a way to "learn" where the limits were on my first Mustang. I'll try to do the same when I finish my Taimar. The last thing you really want when learning is a massive amount grip that lets go with little or no warning.

IMHO, it's better to have less grip and get to understand what the edge feels like, or go over the edge in a more progressive way, probably at slightly lower speeds. I found that, as a side effect, trying to drive quickly with limited grip made me adjust the way I drove to maximise what I had available.

Don't get disheartened by the odd "off". Just try, as Dollyman says, to do it somewhere where there's a soft runoff :-)

Have fun!
Nick

The Alfa looked to have marginally more top end, and was about 20' wide in the corners, but not in a dangerous way ;-) Looked a lot of fun!
