Not exactly racing but flying the flag for old TVRs this weekend at the Chateau Impney hill climb. Went as a spectator last year and had a great day out then got an invite to compete so couldn't say no. Never done a hill climb before and the class I'm in looks seriously fast so no great expectations but will have fun. Last year TVR was represented by Ivan Dutton in the freshly restored ex-John Woolfe TVR AUD10 which has a separate thread on it as it is for sale (as featured in a certain classic car mag).

If you are around come and say hello and wish me luck!

Cheers

Dave

Just returned from Le Mans Classic where I was racing the 1961 ex works Sunbeam Alpine 1600 with Tristan Bradfield.

A great weekend with an even more varied selection of cars than the Revival. We expected to be about 70th of 75 but I qualified us 53rd. blew a head gasket and damaged the head in the first race but after sterling work by the crew got out for the night race which we finished about 35th. We stroked her home for a finish about 30th. If you get a chance to go, do.

Next outing Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix on the cities streets, at the end of July followed by Gamma Race Days at Assen in the first weekend of August, both in the Marcos

A quick break and then Zandvoort Historic Grand Prix, Goodwood Revival and Spa 6 Hours on consecutive weekends.

Its tough, but somebody's got to do it
Well done and someone has to do it wink
