My Vixen restoration is still moving forward, albeit at a slow rate right now, but I keep my eye out for odd spares I may need as I go along. One of the things I have been looking for is the horn button that many Vixens have. It looks like a Lucas type button, but has no emblem on it. I had always thought that these were just Lucas horn buttons and one would come along sooner or later, but reading TTs write up in this months Sprint (nice work!) it appears they are quite difficult to find.
Does anyone have any info on these, or better still, have one they might be prepared to sell?

Cheers

I have seen a few replacement Lucas horn push buttons that will fit the triumph small boss but never in plain black as per OE. The replacement ones I have seen have like a cross chequered flag emblem and are not too offensive but might be possible to either remove the transfer or paint. If I see another I will tip you off.

Cheers. That's very kind of you. I did pick ups triumph one, with the intention of dismantling it and trying to convert it, but it doesn't actually look any good.

I used a Triumph Herald Button which was painted in epoxy primer and 2 pack acrylic paint.

Yep, Early S2.
Had to fabricate new toggles which sit on standard lucas Switches.

Nice. Did you know you can get new decals from the Maser owners club for about £10?

I think its these

The switches on the S1 and early S2 are shared by the Maserati Mexico and some Aston Martin DB5/6I think they are also shared with the Alfa Giulietta as well.

Have to say that does sound better than "the switches on my S3 are shared with an electric kettle" laugh
