This may not be acceptable to you (and fair enough) but on the couple of occasions of putting Ford engines and 4 and 5 speed boxes into various kits with hydraulic clutch master cyls, I ended up going cable clutch on all of them.

I reckon it's a lot easier to make up a couple of brackets at the pedal end and weld a piece onto the pedal than fiddling about at the gbox end ?

Just a thought ..... the Vixen S3 adaptor bracket and bodged pedal done by TVR works just fine, and even looks OK with a small GRP cover...

My S2 Vixen has been converted to cable clutch, looks remarkably similar to the set-up in my 1600M apart from the cover being made of ally. Geoff

At this point the plan is:
1. Bodged clutch lever, being done now and if it works it will be called 'fabricated'
2. If 1. works out then get clutch stuff ready
3. Propshaft from Bailey Morris they might as well have my other arm and leg from when I had new driveshafts last year.
4. Gearbox mount. See 1. above, 'fabricated' when the gearbox is in
5. Gearstick - sticking to sierra standard until its all tested. Then do the grub screw shuffle on a short shifter (not wishing to sound like a Ford Mustang Forum!).
Still surprised at all the unknowns there are despite the conversion having been done many times in many cars but there you go! Its getting past 1. thats going to be interesting....

the std stick will hit your dashboard in a vixen. (or be very close) it has a very long throw.
You can always change gear slowly you know…Up in the North we call it having Mechanical sympathy wink

Thanks Neil. I think I will have a chat with them if the arm mods don't work...
