Oliver, I noticed it wasn't there.. it had its own number as "JDG771B302"..

By the way, can you scan the 2nd page of that article? I'm not sure if I have seen it..
Is this the article on importing MAL013? will have a go later on.

Off topic slightly but these pictures bought back some memories.

This photo is the endurance race at Snetterton, the last race of the day, date 27.10.91

The orange car 2nd from the right at the back is John Catt's TVR Tuscan. Reg No PWP 105E
Next to it is Tim Bryan's TVR Tuscan.
The next white car is Colin Bates's TVR Griffith co driven by Kerry Horan. Reg No JNP 617C. This car in the hands of Joe Ward, Chris Conoley and Williams won the Spa6 hrs in 1995.

Also in the race was Ronnie Farmer's yellow Griffith Reg No DRT 643C co driven by Gerry Marshall. This car in the hands of Joe Ward and Chris Conoley won the Spa6 hrs in 1996.

Ronnie's 2nd orange Griffith reg No HYA 3D should have started the race but had a problem just before the start.

Ronnie and Gerry finished 2nd to Tony Thompson's Lotus Elan 26R, Tim Bryan finished 9th, John Catt was 10th and Colin Bates was a DNF.

Happy days…These are the races that got me into the whole TVR scene….Some great races back in the day. Colin used to run Much Marcle garage from memory and also looked after Jamie Boots car before he passed. Was 617 later painted dark BRG. If so I know where its bonnet is ;-)

Much of the talk around Tuscan V8 SE cars seems to be about quarter lights. Is the general view that cars look better with them or without them? Just interested as purely from asthetics, I think quarter lights look nicer.

Colin's car was all white.
I don't know the colour under Joe Wards ownership.
It was then bought by Fitz Kramer and was white with 3 red stripes.
Mike Whitaker is the current owner and it was white with 3 blue stripes.
In its current FIA guise it is metallic blue, finished 4th at Spa 6hr this year behind 3 GT40s

Simon Garrard's car was BRG, currently owned by John Spires.

I spoke to someone from Much Marcle garage at Silverstone Classic they still look after Jamie Boot's Griffith.

The endurance race at Snetterton was fantastic my best memory is of Gerry Marshall's disc brakes glowing orange in the dusk.

Yes I think it's John Southall. Jamie's Griff is now the ex Jon Shipman car.

If I remember correctly the clocks went back that weekend and we only had half a race because it got dark.
I also remember the glowing discs

Do you have any more pics from the meeting?

Yes i agree Steve the Quarter lights do look better and so does the later Vixen Tuscan Vented bonnet however on the no quarter light windows it was more than no quarter lights it was chrome on brass window frames as well to give a more upmarket feel to the car as the selling price was rather steep in comparison to a 2500 vixen or a V6 Tuscan

Thank you Oliver. And Thanks Andrew for explaining that no quarter light door/frames are more expensive!!

Love the "gathering"

Lucky, is MAL002 in a foreign language magazine? It looks vaguely familiar..

Hi Bill, Mal 002 article is from a 1983 German Mag, I think that's where the car is now. Before that it was owned by the wife of Dave Field (as in the David of David Gerald). Its mentioned in old Sprint Mags of the period.
