Current Octane magazine - I'll try to get a copy tomorrow.


Update - It didn't appear to be in June edition maybe the July edition is out to subscribers.

This car has been on the market in unrestored state for some years now. Finally found someone willing to take it on. Saw it at Chateau Impney last year, looked very nice.

The article is in the July edition, however I'm not sure that all the history is quite correct, for example it seems unlikely that Ken Richardson entered a 1960 Mk2 as part of a 3 car team at the 1962 Nurburgring 1000km (the team DNS) just one month before he entered the Mk3's at Le Mans.

It would also good to find a photograph of the 1961 Fordwater Trophy at Goodwood to see which car John Woolfe drove 1226 RO or AUD 100.

Still the article has good photographs.

Nice article, nice car which is for sale at http://www.duttonbugatti.co.uk/car-sales/. No price tag!

I hoped to see more details pictured (chassis, interior, wheels).

I like the estimated top speed of 140mph! Would like to try that in my Grantura.

Great to see a Mk2 in an article! Although...it does seem that the journalist has been fed some dodgy info by the owner (to help make it seem even more special than it is...?).

1. "There wasn't a 'works' team at this point in time" (those were the words of Trevor Wilkinson when I discussed this car with him at a Back Home event some years ago).

2. There were a lot (in TVR terms) of cars (not just 4!!!) with a lightweight/drilled chassis - the extent of which depended on the request of the customer.

Shame really...because it's a lovely looking thing with a fascinating history.
