I hope Spa is that sunny again this year, see you there in a few days can't wait.

PS will have a go at saving you a spot mate as already said.

I don't get those fat horizontal elements of that type of screen, sat behind one, all I could think was "what big fat lines".

Guys, can I pls just confirm there no problems fitting these to an M-series..? I'd heard that there is a sort of a module block for the heating element where it goes into the glass that can be a problem..? Any mods to the shell or seal needed for this..? Cheers

I can confirm i fitted a Heated Windscreen to my 1975 1600M from Uroglas with no problems at all.I bought the screen from Uroglas it was in stock about 4 and a half years ago. There are only 2 wires in the center bottom that pass between the glass and seal. After it's upto you to wire in with Timer relays

Thanks Alan, so did you need to cut some slots in the seal for the wires to come out or could they just fold out between the seal and glass..?
I'll make a call to Uroglass tomorrow to confirm the config of these new units is similar to what you had.
No other issues with quality that you have experienced..?

I used a new wider seal which i bought from DG's and it was nice and squeesy. The wires slide out between the glass and seal in bottom middle.
I was lucky Uroglas had some in stock 4 and half years ago. It had a black band all the way round like on modern cars a nice bit of kit. I hope the quality hasn't gone down since for you others.

Alan, sounds good - is it fairly useful at keeping the inside of the screen clear if it's wet and fogged up..?

I never got round to wiring it in because i had the chance for a 3000M and sold the 1600M. I prefer to have an Essex V6 under the bonnet. So the Roman Bronze 1976 3000M has taken the place of the Yellow 1975 1600M.
When i bought the 1600M 4 and a half years ago i had to go to England to collect it. It had no Windscreen and the only screens in stock at Uroglas were Heated Screens at a good price. Normal screens were 6 week delay and i live in Brittany France. So i had the Heated Screen delivered to the seller of the 1600M. I took the Ferry to England to collect and the Heated Screen was waiting at the sellers house with the 1600M.
Sorry about the long story
Alan
