series one and maybe early series two (i am not sure) are 2000E/Bullet type. That would cover Andy's but no idea about Neil's

Thanks, that maybe explains it because the gear stick is certainly further back in relation to the hand-brake than on my car.

My series 3 is the 2000E/Bullet type I'm afraid so not 100% true.

Yep, no idea about gearboxes except series ones and some early 2s I ve seen.

Maybe some of the other cars use the type 3 box, I don't know
