My one is also alloy and everyone is doing a great job of talking the price up :-)
Just waiting on a home delivery before I can go and find it at the barn.

Just so there's no confusion that bellh pic is definitely for a COLOGNE ENGINE, and NOT an Essex pattern !!
(You can tell by the top two bolts, close together and high up)

HERE is an Essex pattern bellh (from burton power web site - this is for a T5, not to a type 9, but photos look same on website)

Well , it was sold to Me as for an Essex but I don't have one to try it against , what is the difference ( for the bell housing fitting ) between the two engines ? I thought it was something to do with the top two bolt holes being wider on the cologne ?
Edited - I was typing this as You posted the pic from burtons.

No - the ESSEX has the wider bolts on top .....

Have a look at burton power website to confirm ....

Oh well , it can go back on the shelf until someone wants a light weight BH for a cologne , no harm done .

I'm just glad I was able to save hassle for people - and that bellh is still valuable as a lightweight Cologne to T9 (as you said)

Sorted!

many thanks to Chris, and everyone else for advice, suggestions etc.

So now I need a pivot pin for the clutch arm, could use one out of gearbox in the car but would rather have everything ready to go in just in case there's a difference.
thought I had a spare original iron bellhousing, which would have the pin (bought from someone on here presumably) but turned the shed "upside down" and can only find a Cologne one so either I've lost it or really must look closer at what I buy!
