TVR 3000S TURBO
Discussion
I have just noticed that a good friend of mine has advertised his 3000S Turbo for sale on the TVR Car Club website. I have no commercial interest in the car but thought it worth a mention on here for information purposes and discussion.
The car, which I know very well is the first Turbo convertible of only 13 and is in stunning condition having had a body off restoration several years ago by a well known restorer at a cost approaching £30,000. It then went to live in Germany and had a gentle life till returning several years ago to its present TVR fanatic owner (a member ot the Association of Real "S" Enthusiasts). It has subsequently had further vast sums spent including a new windscreen and surround, new mohair roof, big AP brakes and vented discs, new 16" split rim wheels with new tyres etc, and all the original equipment retained and included in the sale. The car was featured in the TVR 50th anniversary article in Classic Cars magazine in december 1997.This represents in my opinion a real opportunity for someone to acquire a stunning piece of TVR history and would be on its way into my garage if I didn't already have one. sTeVeR ps the "good friend" is an exageration but the rest is true

I would love to buy it. I understand that they do 35 mpg and that they don't leak at all. That's what simple simon says! What about two half-finished Tasmin race cars and a bag of chips in part-exchange!
Seriously I can only wholeheartedly agree with Steves comments. I think that with the exception of one other Turbo 3000S, it is probably the best sorted car out there. Since these cars (in non-turbo form) won the production sportscar championship two years running, it's about time that people recognised just what a great package they are!
Best regards, Tony

Come on John ....surely you can find a better picture than that....I AGREE one of the very best 3000S Turbo's. if not the best.
Adrian
This picture shows it with the original Wolfrace wheels .....it is running on 16 inch (Compomotive FX's..I think) now.

No more up to date photos to hand Adrian. Apparently it will be back on the wolfies when the new owner gets it . Simon may have the 16" wheels and tyres coming up for sale.
Bernies not the chief, the title when you're in charge is Big or Large. Anyway that well-known French residing ARSE, Chris Howson, should be in charge! Just look for the wet right trouser leg and the relieved expression on their face when they arrive somewhere!! Or is that just because of our age! See what you have to look forward to Linda!!
