Pre 80's TVR Meet at Crich Tramway Museum
Discussion
Hello Chaps,
Just had a meet with Geoff Gwynne about the above event that will be held on Sunday 20th August this year.
I volunteered my services on the day and to handle the pistonheads side of things.
So just to let you know........
The venue will be at the Crich Tramway Village, Derbyshire. Website here: www.tramway.co.uk
The admission is £8 for the "Pre 80" cars per person and £0 for the driver of "Pre 65" cars (Passengers will have to pay £8)
The entrance deal is for TVRCC members and daily membership is available for £5 on request otherwise this is a free of charge TVRCC event.
"Pre 80" and "Pre 65" cars will have designated parking within the village area.
All other TVR models are welcome to attend and will have secure parking (Gated and fenced)
There is plenty to see and do once inside the complex: pub, restaurants, cafe, museums.
The day is going to start early with a time to be announced.
There will be a Concours event judged by owners with details on entrance to follow.
There will be great photo opportunities with the Blackpool trams that will hopefully be running on the day.
This will be an informal meeting of like-minded friends enjoying their cars.
We hope you can make the event.
Just to add I have it on good authority that Martin Lilley and Mike Bigland are going to attend......How cool is that!
Any questions please mail me........

Me, the wife and 1600M will be there (fingers crossed). We will be on holiday in Derbyshire that week so will be travelling from Norfolk to the Crich area on the Saturday morning. if anyone is going from the East of England direction at that time they are more than welcome to get in touch and form a convoy if they wish.

I'm up for this one - evens the 3000M/1600M balance so far, don't contribute much to the forums but always watching them, be good to put some faces to names. we will get the kids palmed off and be on our way down on the saturday. any recommendations for places close to stay on Sat. night

I'll do some research over the weekend on places to stay (Hotels B&Bs etc) and post up here.
Cheers,
Supes.
For those that require accommodation:
Travelling from the West Ashbourne is a really nice village with good pubs and grub.
Travelling up from the south then Nottingham and Derby have quality accommodation to offer
Travelling down from the North then Matlock/Matlock Bath would be a good choice with excellent pubs and restaurants.
There is a Travelodge about 8 miles from the event that may be able to accommodate you all if you fancy a few beers and a chat Saturday night.
Here are a couple of links to help you...
Cheers,
Supes.
