My friend who is the owner of a TVR Taimar year 1978 is looking for an original (dashboard) switch H/R/W

H for heating
R for rear
W for Window (hatchback).

He is looking for the original switch with the letters, not the one with a logo or with a picture.

Could you kindly help us.

Phone numbers : ++32 2 648 37 56 (Belgium) Dr Basmadjian

If not, could you kindly suggest where we can find this spare part or from which other brands it comes. Many thanks in advance for your help.

I think the early cars had Jaguar switches, but can't be 100% sure which model as the 1978 Taimar I owned, and the 3000S I have now both had the later Mini switches.

I got a Hazard warning switch, for my 3000S but may be the same, from Holdens www.holden.co.uk/viewproducts.asp?supergroup=Electrical&group=020&groupname=Switches&analysiscode=0505&pageno=3

They have got a HRW switch on there and I beleive they also do it in the same style as the Hazard switch. Maybe worth a look and a phone call.

As Oliver says, the later M-series switches were sourced from Minis of that era. A Mini spares specialist may be your friend.

I have a spare switch but it's attached to a spare car. Buy one, get the other free!

Many thanks.

In fact I have posted a picture of the wanted switch in the section "Ads".

We are looking for exactly the same finishing touch as the other switches (wash - wiper - lights)showed in the picture.

The actual HRW switch is a ersatz, resp. A copy.
