Dash removal (1600M)

Hello all,

I've got a mechanical problem with my 1600M windscreen wiper drive and need to remove the dash. I have located the obvious bolts in either end (inside the door jams). Does anybody know how many more there are and where? I can't get the radio mount out easily and don't want to apply to much brute force and ignorance looking for bolts that aren't there in case of creating even more electrical problems!

Also can anyone tell me what donor vehicle the wiper motor comes from?

I hadn't spotted that thread!

My dash was held by the two obvious ones inside the door jam and simply jammed into the back of the wiper bundy pipe in the centre. This had put a sharp bend into the pipe which had eventually caused the worm drive to strip around the wheel boxes. My initial fear of pulling connections etc. off was justified though, as it took me some time to work out that a dangling wire actually fitted onto the back of the tacho and without which the ******* car won't start!

Anyway - problems are solved now and the wiper mechanism is shortly to be replaced by one out of an MGB.
