Hi

Can anyone lend a hand with some informaiton on roll cages for a 3000m. I have phoned a couple of places (Rollcentre etc) and not had any joy. Is self manufatcure to BlueBook paramters a totally outrageous idea?
All opinions etc welcome.

I had a similar problem with my Vauxhall Firenza Droop Snoot and ended up getting about 6 quotes (ranging from £1,000 to £2,000) and many "cant do that" answers. In the end I called in a a few favours to get some recommendations and I went with Custom Cages in Daventry, really friendly staff and they seemed actually interested to be doing my car and not just another job.

I've not had the final cost yet and am picking my car up this Saturday, so I should know what the finished article is like then, but from the experiences I've had with them so far I'd recommend them.

N.B. I will post again on Saturday if it's magic or if it's sh1te!!

Justo,

My 3000M has a full rollcage. If you want to come and take measurements, photo's etc it will be back from the garage mid November. I think David Gerald sourced and installed it for the previous owner. Drop me an email if you want.

Rollcentre seem to be the place for cages for early TVR's They are all in the computer at this place.

My Griff 400 cage is from Roll centre, geoff Parkinsons Tuscan cage is Rollcentre and I know he also has a 3000M with Rollcentre cage in it.

How could Martin not help you?

Neil.

Thanks for all the opinions. I tried Rollcetnre and they directed me to Tower View Racing. I had a word with one of the guys there but he said they did not do the model and could not help. I will keep looking.

Martin at Rollcentre did a brilliant full cage for my 3000M - They have to be custom built though and it cost about a grand five years ago. Side benefit is that there is no scuttle shake whatsoever....

Justo - meant to post again and forgot, sorry.

Try Custom Cages in Daventry, they've done a great job with my car, the service was great and the cost was very good too, they were actually the most reasonable.

Also, everyone who has seen my cage (all very experienced people within motor racing) are very impressed, so they're definitely worth a call.

The number is 01327 872855.
