The M series has been playing up for a while, it would turn over free as a bird... fire... and die.
Many people have said fueling would be the problem so I checked the pump, the carb etc any a lot of people said upgrade to an electric pump and it would cure it but I wasn't convinced? The car would fire eventually after being left, as it should but would only run on the starter, once the key was back to rest the car would die.
So, I phoned Glyn (Supaspark) who instantly pointed to ignition and advised me to bypass the ballast resistor by hotwiring the coil and within thirty seconds the M was purring like a kitten. A solution is on the cards now.
