1970 V8 Tuscan.
Discussion
There is a 1970 Tuscan for sale in this Month's Sprint, I am very interested anyone know the car.
Ford 289 engine converted from V6 in late 70's
apparently a well known car, club mag feature and NEC show stand.
Have emailed owner awaiting a response, any info would be greatly received.

I reckon it's cheap.
Difficult to see it's real condition but you'd pay that much to build a Grantura MkIII from scratch let alone anything with a 289 SBF engine. David Alt's Griffith 200 is up for sale for $45,000 plus shipping VAT etc etc and that is not complete - engine not in, no interior, no f/r glass.
Only downside is that it is not eligible for most FIA events as it has a 67 registration. Also not clear how much is original eg engine

Planning to stray from the true path of Cerbera ownership? Ford 289 engine converted from V6 in late 70's

(I used to have a 3000M and often lurk in the classics section wondering the very same thing)
Hi Simon,
Yes I have in fact sold the big dog, (well I still have it but being collected b the new lucky owner tomorrow) I really really fancy a vixen/tuscan or even an M with a V8, just missed one a couple of months ago on e bay, white vixen with a 302 V8.
I have been toying with the idea of getting the best vixen/tuscan I can a get someone to put a AJP in it, now that would be the ultimate TVR, but no one appear keen on taking on the project.
So if anyone knows of a car for sale or might be for sale, please let me know.
Going to Le Mans this year ? I am and will miss the Cerb for sure, look out for me Silver CLS AMG with MOP number plate.
Andy tells me the car is still strong as an OX !
Cheers

I have just very reluctantly decided to sell my 1965 Griffith due to a house move.
It is fundamentally an FiA car but the original engine and box have been kept separate so as not to damage the engine.
It currently has a full race SBF in it and races in the Thoroughbred Sportscars. Pale Blue car No.95.
It is for sale for just over half the money it cost to build over the last 5 years. It is seriously fast and a front runner, even with me driving it. All the original engine etc., will come with the car.
Please let me know if anyone is seriously interested, I ask you not to waste my time on this as its enough of a wrench to sell it as it is.

Interesting move and one I think about every now and then. Hope it works out for you and you can find a nice car. I really like the look of the early 'M' and Vixens, and often wornder about one with a V8 in.
Sounds like it'll be fun.
Yes, I'm going to Le Mans on thursday this week, will keep an eye out for you ;-)
