hi new to this tvr owner thing,want to replaced rear coil over shocks any advice ie cost what make and where to get them from.

Hi Mark and welcome to PH, my reply to your mail to me yesterday was returned as undeliverable...I will leave someone else to talk shocks...I do them along with every thing else you mailed about. You might do a advanced search in the classics and get info too.

tried to remove the filling/level plug in the diff on my taimar over the weekeng,rock solid never been removed for the past 30 years i think any suggestions before i chew the plug up completely

I found Demon Tweeks to have good prices on adjustable Spax shocks but I hear Adrian has really tasty ones with height adjustment (Nitron?). I used Part #s SPXG767S @ 40.05 IN 1993 on my M.

Hi Bernard
If you have Spax on the rear of your M and are using the standard spax alloy collet CHECK that these are not clashing with the chassis lugs under full droop and holding the piston more upright than the shock body will allow. (in the past I have had to modify the shock and revert to using a Monroe/armstrong collet to stop this happening)
