I finally got around to having unleaded heads fitted on the 3000S, reputable source and reputable meachanic, oil and water change etc, but the engine is now running 10-15 degrees hotter. Why might that be ?

Hi Peter, Have you had the carb set up to suit this, and is it the same inlet and sender.

Not sure, as I'm not clear what changes this would involve. Anyhow I'll have the car with you soon for the suspension work so you may be able to teak things a bit. The old heads looked pretty coked, but there again they'd been on the car for 28 years and probably never been worked on.

You might want to check out the ignition timing, if your now not running the engine with fuel addatives.

No more RedEx bills either.
