I know this car. It belonged to Paul Mulvey, who was RO for the Mid-Kent area of the TVRCC in the late 80s. I think he sold it to a dealer, who presumably sold it to the guy you bought it from. Paul was under the impression that it had been written off, but obviously this is not the case.

I also have some photos taken at a couple of events at Brands Hatch, which I think must have been in 1986.

I will let Paul know the car has surfaced.

Cheers,

Paul (Lavington)

Great find at a very nice price. Looks a good base for a very nice car.

I found my M a little strange to drive at first but now love it. Just need to find something to do with my left foot when not on the clutch

Enjoy

Thats a bargain ..well done !

Missing my M Series that I had for 2 years ..

Is that WSO Registration originally a Moray or Aberdeenshire based number?

Keep in touch with the progress please

Hopefully one day (soon) I can get back into TVR ownership - for now getting the 2 teenage kids their own motors..

Regards
Brian

Hi, here the are photos as promised. As I said, I'm pretty sure they were taken in 1986, mostly at Brands Hatch. The Caterham was mine as was the red M, which was fresh from a chassis overhaul

You've made my evening!

Funny - I've just noticed this thread is back from three years ago!

The Vixen belonged to Maggie Bird of the Kent Region at the time. There is an article in "Practical Classics" November 1987 on the Vixen and GYG60J is pictured.

Ok, i am going to make a concerted effort to get this car ready to mot very soon.! It will be a bit of a "bodge" as it really needs a new chassis in the long term, but i am determined to get some use out of it in the short term. biggrinbiggrin
Adrian@ will probably tell me to do it "right" just like he told me 5 years ago, but hey ho.!!
