Anyone know of this car

Like many other postings of this nature I know this is a long shot. I am almost finished a complete restoration of my barn find 1972 1600M reg No RWX 3L and have very little info on its history, I do know that it lived most of its life in the North Yorkshire / North East area and have tried to contact some of the previous owners however they have all long since moved on.

Owned this car in 1984 ish, it was our fourth TVR after a Vixen, a Tasmin and Taimar. Not got a lot I can tell you, other than it was fitted with Blue Tasmin seats.

Stating what I expect is already known, you can apply to the DVLA (quoting reg. No. etc. obviously) and they will give you a print out of all the previous owners (like log books of old), I did it for my Tuscan about 8-9 years ago - cost a fiver at that time.

Thanks for that, I have already received all of the previous log books however all of the previous owners have moved home and I have therefore hit a brick wall.

Just done a search of the forum and discovered my car was being discussed (before my ownership of course)..., rwx3l is happily sat in my garage.... Owned for 6 years this August.... Pleased to celebrate its 40th birthday..... Any info you can help me with would be great.... I have a list of all previous owners.

If Harry 1972m is just completing a full restoration of RWX3L, how come it is in RWX3Ls garage ?? Or am I missing something?

Wow - fast forward 10 years and my post appears again - glad to hear my old pride & joy is in good hands and doing well - although I have had an S3 since and a Chimeara which I currently have I still miss my first TVR - RWX3L I still have lots of before & after pictures and would be happy to send you copies if you like.

A bit of a bump!

It's approaching 42 years....

Spoke to the original owner a couple of years back, had some interesting tales of how he and his mates clubbed together to get the car.

Would be interested in any photo's... I have a few that we're passed on by the guy I purchased it from.

I have mailed you through your profile & will gladly send you all the pics of my before & after restoration - I was talking to Tony from Hexham Horesless Carriages recently( original TVR Dealership) & he remembered the car as one of the first TVR's he ever sold from new.

Another bump....

10 years ownership approaching.... Not getting to drive it as much as I'd like, but holding onto it..... I lost the email with the photos! If you still have them hallmike at tesco dot net.
