Amsterdam?

is there much reason to visit amsterdam if not intrested in drugs or prostitutes , got the opportunity to go for very cheap , but maybe im wrong it just seems like a destination for drug users?

It's a great City. I've been with the lads and seen stuff. I've been and seen cultural.

I've been 4 times with couples friends. No drugs or prostitutes. Great food, bars and red light district.

Yep some awesome restaurants a good museum and plenty of history and places to explore.

Rijksmuseum was brilliant.
Anne Frank house. Queued for 2 hours in the freezing cold Wouldn't wait that long again but it was an experience.
Heineken tour was garbage.
Canal trip was enjoyable. Can imagine it being really nice in the summer.
I'm sure there is a bit more to speak about.

Just been for 5 days with my wife, her sister and husband.

It really is a tourist city, loads of things to do, loads of places to eat and drink.

What we did might not be everyone's choice but we had a great time:-

Canal Trip
Horse and Carriage Trip
Van Gogh Museum
Museum Our Lord In The Attic
Willet-Holthuysen Museum
Hired Bikes near Vondelpark
Art Deco Restaurant at Hotel American
Fleamarket
Antique Market

Just be aware of cyclists, they have right of way over everyone!! Never saw a charity shop, or someone vaping, very different to a UK city!!!

Just go, you'll have a great time.

I go to Amsterdam regularly with work and there is plenty to see and do that doesn't involve drugs and hookers.

Great food
Dutch have a similar culture to Yorkshire.
Great music, awesome jan bar in the red light district, last visit I stumbled into a music and food festival and had a hoot.

..... And if going with a significant other, don't forget the diamond houses. Just need to conveniently forget your wallet (I didn't.....twice....2nd time we upgraded the necklace we bought the 1st time !)

I am there for three days on my tod in August. Mon/Tues/Wed.
Can anyone recommend a really class bar/ cocktail venue. I want to avoid the tourist places with denim and poor food service etc..

Pref somewhere where only locals go.
