Hi all,

It's a really stupid problem to have but I can't stop sliding around on the seats while in my RST 1 piece.

I thought it was just my bike, but it does it on all the demos at work and the Ducati 959 I tried the other day.

The arse on my leathers isn't shiny or anything but is there anything I can treat them with to help?
I was wondering about having some sort of alcantara or similar patched shaped and stitched in. But I'm sure there must be a simpler solution (apart from sliding down the road on my arse to rough them up laugh)

Thanks in advance

Stomp grip on the tank and grip it with your knees.

Or retrim the seat in a grippier fabric.

Are they new leathers ? They tend to do this.

Also I've found cleaning them causes the same issue in the past, now I just don't clean my arse or put any products on my seat other than shampoo.

I've got stomp grip on the tank on my 750 and it does make much better, but I struggle on the other bikes.

Yeah fairly new worn a handful of times. I actually used the dash mat stuff on my seat which worked (now using stomp grips) but for all the bikes I ride at/for work, they're the ones causing the issue frown

The seats on the 959 are really slippery and they're slanted forwards too, which makes for hard work
My 899 was the same, so I got the racing seat, which is flatter and much gripper (comfort seat is same material and largely the same shape, but softer)
Coupled with stomp grips on the tank and you're not moving around unless you want to

Changed to the optional comfort seat on my MV and its like a non slip neoprene material. Works great, although could probably still do with tank grips too

I was going to say it's more likely to be a seat issue rather than leathers, usually suggest cleaning the bike seat with leather cleaner as leaves a matt finish and won't do any harm to leathers.

Guess the works bikes are being prepped with silicone based cleaners?
