The mystery only deepens with this car..

I am still baffled at how it's managed to stay in the U.S. If it was brought it under the temp import rule then it cannot be sold and should have been exported after within 12 months. However, this car apparently has a U.S title which is where things start to get mysterious. If it has a Florida title then lets's just say it's a little less mysterious. wink

Apparently the car was brought into the county piecemeal and then reassembled by the original Miami dealer. I've run a carfax and title search on it hoping for some answers but they're both clean and clear. It's titled as a 2005 TVR, model unknown. No kit, reconstructed, remanufactured, street-rod branding or anything like that so it's still a mystery.

Although there's clearly been some funny business going on as it had an initial title mileage of 45k, which suddenly went down to 4k on the next title, and it had 4 Florida titles within the space of a year and hardly any additional mileage in that time. It's now titled in Alaska?!?! Perhaps a bit of title laundering has gone on with it as Florida is renowned for that sort of thing.

Oh dear frown....now that the authorities and media are (unfortunately) involved with it through total sods law, it will be very interesting to see if anything happens to it.

Hi Dave,
Was thinking the same but loving all the press reports describing.
One states 'amongs the damaged cars was a very rare TVR Tuscan S, only one in the country'.

I just spotted this Youtube video.
Celebrity Cars Las Vegas have had another Tuscan in.
Video is a few months old now but its still showing as in stock at Celebrity Cars priced at $129k.
It states legally imported and still has the Speed6 engine.

It's not registered in the US and the VIN doesn't bring up any info.
