So the FIA GT Championship is coming to Donington next week. Whats the latest word on that new Maserati MC12 based on the Ferrari Enzo? Anyone know if that'll be racing at Donington? Well more like thrashing than racing really but you know what I mean.

Will the two Synergy TVRs be on the grid?

If they are, I'll be there work permitting.

I doubt it, this is FIA GT's, as seen on EuroSports LG super racing weekend, they haven't been at any of the previous rounds, I think they are only competing in ALMS events

Go to www.fiagt.com for an idea of what is running.

These really are fantastic races. Sort of a combination of the Brit GTs and Le Mans.

Bloody loud too.

Can't see the Synergy cars being there as the wide track version of the cars isn't FIA homologated (I believe, ACO regs [Le Mans] are different).

The RSR TVR is on the entry though.

The Maserati won't be at Donington, the FIA teams haven't agreed it can enter as a works car. And it isn't scheduled to be entering any of the races until September (post Spa 24hours) anyway.

Mike Jordan and David Warnock are also down in thier Porsche GT3-RS too.

Will do. We'll be in a cosmos blue griff (as in profile).

Dont park too far down the grass verge. At the last donnington meet it was wet and 2 4x4s got stuck.

PS I'll have a rope in the back if any one gets stuck. (free to PHers of course)

Went to practice on the Friday, saw a few offs down at the old hairpin. Had to work the weekend, so can anyone tell me where the Synergy and RSR teams came? Their T400Rs looked like they were in with a shout.

Well the Synergy car ended up in the gravel at the old hairpin after a nudge from either a Viper or a 550, not sure where the RSR car finished though

I was there to see the race (and wearing my PH t-shirt so looking very PH ish!).

The remaining TVR came in 18th, or fist in class (not really too difficult since the TVRs had their own class! (SP2)
Although if you class it with the NGTs then it came in about the middle of the pack which is pretty good going really.

manginger, glad to hear you enjoyed the FIA GTs. Make sure you get along to the British GTs each month, and then Le Mans in 2005.

Me too PH rugby shirt, spent most of the day looking down on the old hairpin, but had a wander to the esses and the melbourne loop during the GT's
Was in stealth mode car wise though, parked the Clio behind Dai Capps Cerby

I saw the Cerby but not the Clio!

I was parked just outside the paddock gates in the Griff.

I spent most of the GT race at Melbourne, the Esses and then old hairpin so probably walked right past you!

Really enjoyed the race. I'll post up some pics later.

Just how noisey were the Freisinger 911's as they exited the Melbourne loop
