That could have been an interesting first lap after the shenanigans at Eau Rouge!

Big off at Eau Rouge! Glad to see the driver is out and moving about, although limping slightly.

I believe the main streams are only on when the MotorsTV coverage is on.

(2000-2130, 0700-1100 and 1300-1600)

I'm looking at doing this next year, looking for advice from anyone who's been

Anyone any experiences of camping at http://en.eaurouge.nl/?

Never been to Spa before, Flemish rather than French part of Belgium?

I think qualifying is on the Thursday? Anything going on on the Friday on the track?

Any bars / restaurants / shops within walking distance of the circuit or am I looking at a drive?

spa is french part of belgium

on friday they have top 20 qualifying, although if weather is bad that may be called off (which is what happened in 2012).

its a great race, I've shot it for the last 5 years, and 2010 its just been getting better and better.

Stayed at the eaurouge a couple of times, itis OK small bar area and not much else, loo's and showers are nbormally OK as well.

The Pitlane hotel in Francorchamps has a good range of beers and the food is Ok as well, Piza place opposite is also OK for food.

Quite a walk from the track but OK if you can get out of the gates at La Source.

I think a couple of mates and I are going to do Spa 24 Hours next year. Is there any camping on site? I've been in Vert above Les Combes / Rivage for the GP before. Otherwise it might be Eau Rouge.

What's the support bill like?

I'm thinking we're going to go for Eau Rouge camping as there doesn't seem to be anything at the track.
Anyone know the situation with tickets, does the entrance ticket include grandstands or are they extra?

It's not exactly the best promoted race, the event website is just a front page, and the Spa circuit website is hopeless

Anyone been before and used shuttle buses?

We have a villa booked in Spa town - wondered if there was any means of getting to and from the circuit such as shuttle buses?

Cheers

Mrs Chev has told me she fancies a run to Belgium so I'm booking my hotel this afternoon. Can't wait!

We're all booked: tunnel crossing; ferries; race tickets; hotel.

I'm going with Mrs Chev so stopping in a nice hotel in Trooz rather than rustic camping. Will be at the circuit Sat and Sun only but we're both really excited. I've only been to Spa twice before and that was for the GP so cannot wait to see the place under cover of darkness, with 60 thundering GT3 monsters.

I'm thinking of going. Does anyone know how easy it is to get car parking on the day, or does it have to be booked in advance like Le Mans? Also, what's the access like to various parts of the track? Can you move around from viewpoint to viewpoint?

Free parking right outside the circuit (La Source or Eau Rouge)and access everyway around the paddock and circuit.

Great event!
