and I will be sat on the pit wall during the event doing the time keeping, lap scoring etc for SVDP Racing with their BMW 120d. We won our class last year by 27 seconds and we aim to win it again this year.....

Got a couple of friends racing in it. Ian Loggie (of GT Cup, Britcar and my own series) is out there with Chris Jones, Jules Westwood and Richard Plant in Ian's Porsche 997 Cup being run by Team Parker Racing. And ex-PCGB 968 pilot Paul Follett is in a BMW Z4M Coupe run by Sorg Rennsport.

A busy afternoon for the team as we set-up my home for the event (aka the pit perch), unloaded the car and spares from the container, had the tools delivered on a 7.5T truck (all owned by 1 of the team members) and organised the garage.

Tomorrows plan is to finish prepping the car ready for technical inspection.

I have had 20 hours sleep since last Monday morning and I have been up 35 hours and counting. We were holding a 4 lap lead in class D1 at 5am when a con rod punched a whole in the block. 2.5 hours later we were back on track and finished 4th out of 5 cars.

Still what a great event with more turns and twists than the Isle of Man TT course.

I am heading for the shower and then bed.
