Just a heads up. If you are intending to race at Spa or in Europe this year check you have the correct pass which should be on the reverse of your 2014 Nat "A" licence. When I spoke to MSA this morning, I didn't know it was included in the new licence this year but they are sending me the letter in the post anyway.

They e mailed me this:

„hRace International Historic H1
„hRace International Truck C
„hKart International A
„hKart International B
„hKart International C ¡¥Senior¡¦
„hKart International C ¡¥Junior¡¦
„hRally International R
„hCross Country International R
„hSpeed International R
„hDrag International
„hRace National A
„hRace National Truck
„hSpeed National A (Open)
„hSpeed National A
„hDrag National A

The above grades of both International and National licences will incorporate automatic starting permission to take part in such events and contain the words 'Subject to ART. 2.3.11, valid approval under ART. 2.3.8 ISC.'
These words confirm approval by the MSA of a General Permit under the International Sporting Code for all countries whose ASN is recognised by the FIA. The General Permit lasts for the duration of the licence. Unlike previous years you will not require a further Visa Letter from the MSA as your licence incorporates this necessary authority.
The MSA advises that you keep this document with your licence.
„h Off Road International C
„h Off Road International C (Junior)
„h Rally International Historic H4
„h Road Rally International R
National Events: (NB: None of the following applies to Kart Licences as only holders of Kart
International licences can compete in National Kart events abroad).
However the following UK National Licence holders may only compete in foreign National events
if they hold one of the following grades, and the event is inscribed on the hosting ASN¡¦s Sporting
Calendar as a National Event with Authorised Foreign Participation.
Regarding MSA giving Authorisation under ART. 3.9.4(a) & (b), MSA confirms that the issuing of
your International Licence automatically includes general authorisation (start permission) for the
whole year of validity of the licence. Licensees should produce this document if any question is
raised on this point, as confirmation that MSA has given you the required authority.
Competing Abroad (Start Permission)
International Sporting Code Articles 2.3.8 (National) and 3.9.4(a) (International)
UK International Licence holders may compete in foreign International events if the event is
inscribed on the FIA International Sporting Calendar, if authorisation is given by MSA and they
hold one of the following Intenational grades:
