better not be, you'd be black flagged in the uk this year for that.

biggrin yep the new FIA directive obviously hasn't gravitated to Australia yet. It was the close racing I was getting at in mega V8's.

crossing the white line at the edge of the circuit isnt fia its only the msa that have dreamt that one up.. has the potential to cause chaos this year..

heres to some close racing though

As long as there is a kerb there then you can cross the white line as long as you don't drop off the other side. Can't see it making much difference really.

Darren's out first I think. I hope he will report back what happens about the white line. Can't see most people not crossing line even if not climbing curbs.

That's ok
on the line or kerb is fine

one wheel over the line or kerb, which ever is further, is not.
😊

Both of those wheels are over the line are they not? White line depicts track limits does it not?in which case you would get a shirt pull for driving as per the picture. Here we go, one says yes ok & one says no not ok biggrin

iirc the regs say white line or the edge of a kerb where there is one.

everyone seems to have concentrated on corners when talking abut this ruling but i think there are going to be loads of problems at starts. plenty of circuits have a white line at the edge bit away from the barriers, and i might have undertaken a few cars at rockingham with my inside wheel just on the white line still lol..

so in that pic the front of the car is ok, the rear wheel though is potentially over the outside edge of the kerb so possibly outside the circuit limits... depends how its judged by the judge of fact !!!

difficult to tell from this angle and depends if the red bit is classed as kerb or not !!!!

apparently the outer kerb at paddock hill has been repainted so isnt classed as kerb.

really not sure what was wrong with just enforcing the easy to understand and judge old rule thats compliant with the fia and the rest of the world...

The sausage kerbs aren't kerbs anymore, they are classed as think, chinky red and whatever other colour white line!
