For those who are not aware,
Sunday the 15th June is the TVR Tuscan Challenge Gary Britnell Memorial Day.

Both races will be held in Memorial of Gary who sadly lost his fight with cancer in February 2014.

Gary was a well known and well liked figure in TVR Tuscans and in motorsport generally. He raced in Cosworths too, but most and notably in the SAS Tuscans and SAS Porsches with brother Andy with Team Motorbase Performance - now known for BTCC as well as PCCGB. Gary and Andy were both front runners in Tuscans at their peak so it is fitting that we hold the Memorial when at their local circuit next month.

Gary and Andys families will both be in attendance, indeed brother Andy should be racing with us for one more time in rememberance of his brother, so lets get as many cars out as possible and make it a fitting send off.
With the fantastic grid we had at Rockingham, we should do him proud

Andy (89)

Gary giving some back in the day!

I remember being at brands watching Andy Britnell race his Tuscan, he introduced me to peter wheeler that day, and gave me advice on what my first tvr should be, a 4.3 precat griff. I swore that day I would one day race a Tuscan on track, the rest as they say is history, I only met Gary a couple of times but remember them both being very passionate tvr racers. lets hope we can have a large turnout for his memorial weekend race.

Dave Bartum's piece on Gary is here: http://www.motorbaseperformance.co.uk/press-releas...

My first Tuscan (now Graham's) was one of the Britnell cars (though actually had Dave Bartrum's name on the side when I bought it and some related rear end damage wink)

The Britnell brothers are/were both absolute gents.

Hope you guys can get a good turnout in Gary's memory.
