The funny thing is before i started racing my skills ranged from changing the oil & sparks plugs to a wheel change, in the last week with a bit of help i've removed three engines fitted one and learnt the ins and outs of the AJP V8 and most moving parts on a Tuscan smile
I now know my car intimately and fingers crossed will be back in even better shape than before, watch this space

Hi Nick, I had my 4.5 start making noises 5 laps into Fridays test day at Brands so decided not to run it for fear of a major problem, then embarked on an A Team type effort of removing a 4.7 from one car and getting it in mine before saturday quali which all went okay apart for some catch tank and breathing issues which meant starting from the back of the grid. Still managed both races but have pulled the 4.7 to give it a full health check and resolve some issues which include modifying the oil tank, changing the ECU and giving the whole thing a re-fresh & a damn good clean!
I'm pretty sure there is not a single part on here now that is not been attended to in some way or another so fingers crossed for Snetterton
Whats your excuse for not being out smile

Bloody hell, that sounds like a bit of a mare but good on you for still getting out there! My main reason for not getting out is lack of spare cash, but also the Tuscan is under a sheet at the moment anyway while the Chimaera is being re-commissioned. It's ended up with a pretty much completely new engine, new outriggers and a load of other stuff so it's taken forever. With a bit of luck though it's being mapped in the next couple of days so then I'll take a breather and then either crack on with the Tuscan, or sell it as I'm not likely to have time to race it any time in the foreseeable due to me investing a couple of years in my career so I've just not had the time. I've written a (very long) advert for the Tuscan but haven't had the balls to put it up just yet... We'll see what happens but I'm open to considering any serious offers as I'd rather see it out racing than sitting under a sheet!
