That's great news Dave and brilliant that you found a back end and tank so quickly.
I've decided to start from scratch with the AJP after losing so much oil and power at Snett. By race time, I struggled to hit a shift light in 4th or 5th going down the straights! I reckon I must have been 100 bhp or so down. Apologies for the oil vapour I was spraying around. I know it made for some, let's say "challenging" car control for many of you. Anyway, it'll be rebuilt over the next 2 weeks, properly this time, and certainly not by the same guy who did it last time
Back out for Anglesey

I've just watched the video again and it's still an amazing start
And spinning as you were it would have been a miracle if you'd come off the brakes to avoid the barrier.
Hope the damage is just grp. Did the fuel tank remain intact?
Hi Andy,And spinning as you were it would have been a miracle if you'd come off the brakes to avoid the barrier.

Just watched the impact again, and looking at the brake pressure gauges (two big ones centre of dash), I'm not on the brakes at impact. I hit them briefly and the let go... Think it was just one of those accidents where car was on the path twards the barrier and that was that... Never mind!
Got all the engine bits back now so can get that built back up! Pete should get the car back for paint Tuesday so I should get it back end of next week. Need to order a new silencer and exhaust tubing, fuel pump, rear lights (ebay) and think thats it... Fuel tank should be modded for me by mid next week. Still hopeful it will all come together in time for Anglesey!!
