sequential gearbox's

this is a very complex problem, I don't think it is too far wrong as it stands and making more and more classes is not going to help the situation,
all we need is some clear class rules as it stands and to stick with them, any change i.e. no more sequentials in A or aero in A should be phased in over the closed season not dumped on anyone at the start of the season,
changes cost money whether they decrease or increase performace, if rules are set they must be obeyed, I have no problem with rule changes at all but they must be clear and people given the chance (off season) to make the changes. if sequentials are outlawed in A next season that's cool I will just go in A+, I want to keep the box as it is reliable, it won't bother me as long as I am still having good close racing with at least one other car as me and Deano are at the moment, but I agree that the box is an advantage and is all the edge I need to beat a standard Tuscan as is aero (done correctly), Dean is in A+ this year because Aero was outlawed for this year at the end of last season and Dean knew this when he bought the Sag, if seq. boxes are banned at the end of the season it will be my choice to move class or remove the box, no problem with that at all. If you want to compete for points and a class or overall championship win then build the car to the class limits, and if you have very deep pockets or you just want to make your car as fast as possible go in A+ and do your best to keep up with Tim Hood who has invested much time money and effort to produce a very quick tvr that can hold its own against most things in other GT style championships.
if you can't beat Tim because you don't have the budget or the ability then stick to a top class A car, you pays your money and you makes your choices
much love to all
all I know is I will carry on racing in the DTECH because I love TVR's and I love the people that race in the series, in what ever class I decide to run in.

What ever happens it's a nice position to be in with all these TVRs in our series
Compared with some others who are struggling
And also you only have to look back at the numbers 4years ago when I started ... We had to share a grid at brands with the quaffe cars ... Chanti you remember
We are never going to suit everyone ... But I'm sure we will get there
I countdown every day the last two weeks between races ... Can't wait
It's the Raceing and the people that make it

It is great though on the odd occasion where we can all come together and put on a fantastic TVR grid!

Hi Perry, we did try to make this happen last year so that A+ as a class could really take off. The first round races at Silverstone bode really well as we had Tim H, Darren D, Danny W, Mike S, Fred T, and myself (apologies if I've not mentioned anyone else who played in A+ as I'm just going from memory) all out. It unfortunately lost a little momentum during the season as some cars had mechanical issues, I had some personal commitments come up which took me out and consequently it ended up I think with just Tim and Darren battling on.we both seam to be singing from the same hymn sheet
Given that most of those cars are still out there, albeit some with different owners now and you showing enthusiasm too, I'm sure we can make it happen - at least for one round anyway perhaps more!
