so we generally all go on the Friday which makes a nice long weekend, a few of us think it can be a long day to travel up and travel home at the end of the day, so we thought we could make a day and night of it and book a hotel in Birmingham and get on the lash and go home after brekkie on the Saturday,
legs eleven followed by a curry would top off the perfect day I reckon,
so who's up for this, we could all book the same hotel(any recommendations)and have a cracking time.
lets have a show of hands

will probably stay in the canal area of Birmingham for ease of staggering back to the hotel after a curry

Best getting a hotel centrally imho as that's where the action is wink . . . otherwise there's the trek back to the NEC afterwards. Personally I'll be getting a train back from Birmingham New Street as I have to be in Reading Sat p.m. biggrin

Sorry to be a party pooper but I have some appointments at the show on Thursday so I won't be around on Friday. At least it means I won't drink all the beer!!!

hi All, I have booked 2 rooms at the hotel in Birmingham, Jurys Inn Broad street, Birmingham, right in the middle of the action!!
paid £60 for a twin room so £30 a head, Keith, Me, Deano, Billy. so if anyone wants to join us on Friday the 9th give them a call, hotels seemed busy with not much left so don't hang about if your coming.

Hailing from Bradfordistan and being the DTEC curry guru that I am, may I suggest either of these two curry restaurants which are in close proximity to the Jury's.

Lasan http://www.lasan.co.uk
Gets 4.1 on TripAdvisor, is on St. Peter's Sq. (directly across from the Jury's) and is that insufferable Scottish tcensoredts favourite curry restaurant. Very popular, particularly on a Friday night, so we'd need to reserve a table.

Rajdoot http://www.rajdoot.co.uk
Only gets a 3.3 on Trip Advisor as has lost a bit of gloss since Lasan opened, is on George St. and is more old school authentic than Lasan.

I have it on good authority that we won't be disappointed by either, although I accept no personal responsibility for any Delhi belly victims! woohoo
