Castle Combe 4th May

See's the mighty car 77
up against the ex Winstanly Sagaris in Castle Combe GT. The race will be live on Motors TV channel 71 on free view or 447 on sky. Angus the new owner is a fairly good peddler so should make for an interesting race. The car has had a lot of work done to it over the winter and this will be the first race in new hands.

Have a good race and have fun..
For my part, i'll be cheering for you Perry, I always try and catch the televised Combe race live - when possible - great racing to watch, and an excellent opportunity for me to shirk garden centre and DIY (etc etc) based activities..
That's a Bank Holiday Double Whammy in my book .

Thanx Darren, your a good sport and i'm pleased u won't have to do the coffee shop in your local garden centre for at least that weekend . Still looking into why the belt came off last time out. strange one, all looks ok the only reason I think a belt can come off is a massive over rev on the way down the box as far as I know. I already know what the consequences of that are so I can rule that out I recon , do you have any idea's ?
As it is supposed to be a serious quick car I would expect the GT lap record to fall easy this season. Ian Hall in the wildcat Davrian did a 1:08.5 in qually last time out so I recon that will be the car to beat this year.77 is capable of mid 1:08's but probably not until I have got the new sponsors Airtabs working well. The new resurfaced track will be slow until it has worn in a bit. it is very slippy in the damp and not that grippy yet until the initial oil has worn off.

hi Man,
Looking at the time table you won't have to get up early and you may want to pack an evening meal as our race is down for the last of the day 6.10pm. I will call you once I have the gold bars !!!!!!!
cheers chap !! if you can aquire a car park pit pass i could park the sag in next to you, and then you could take debs for a little drive if you have the time Looking at the time table you won't have to get up early and you may want to pack an evening meal as our race is down for the last of the day 6.10pm. 55 acres supplying a whopping 4,000 homes so far, area's left out are archaeology and some field mice have nested. The MD of combe hopes to get an all electric race going some time. the village got 65k for local causes and the circuit got 900k of tarmac not quite enough to do the whole circuit. It was a really cheap job , when I walked round it the other week it looked like patching would start by mid summer no joke. looks like just you and me on forums now G. it will be gone soon enough .

Hi Maureen,
Debs and I were sorry we missed you surfing at the weekend. Was looking for a cuppa tea and a biscuit.
Ha!Ha!Debs and I were sorry we missed you surfing at the weekend. Was looking for a cuppa tea and a biscuit.
That afternoon you would have been given a pair of secateurs and roped into helping me chop up garden waste to go to the tip!!
No time for cups of tea!!
