Another bit of new aero I'm making for car 77, coming along nicely if a little slowly. a quarter bigger now than the original. just wondering if it will mess up the rear grip . I will be reducing the rake so hoping to still keep the car balanced but with more down force on the front, will just wind on a bit of rear wing if needed but as I say hoping to get some free trade off for a change, am I being optimistic ?.............

I have made these decidedly girly ski jumps on my previous splitter incarnations. do you think they do any thing ? Should I put them on my new work of art.....................

Hi Perry , .ike the new splitter , might the ski jumps stop the end plates from holding the air on .
If the bigger splitter gives you the oppertunity to increase rear downforce sounds like a win-win exept for a little extra drag . I've nearly finished my MK 2 now , gone quite a bit lighter and large-ish end plates but low tech plywood . What are you using in the middle of your sandwich ? .

Hi Chris,
Air can get under the ski jump and I have an exit at the back but a lot of cars don't have an exit for the air. The idea was to force air upwards therefore pushing down on splitter. lets see your creation then.

I,m planning on putting the transponder on the leading edge. Probably won't know if it is any good on Monday as the forecast is for heavy rain and this is my usual performance in the wet stuff biggrin
