Going round the houses a bit here, i'm after some new air filters for the AJP.
I currently have the flat concertina style ones but having tried Pipercross[Foam dome ones} and a few others i'm struggling to find a supplier!
Any info would be appreciated smile

What Ivor said smile .. the flat one's are K+N free flow filter's to replace the original's on Jaguar V12 XJS and XJ Saloons.

ETA why are you reverting back to the filters through the bonnet Christian ? i know they look much cooler (especially the Pipercross smokin ).

Christian,
Just to be different, I fitted ITG filters to mine. They're foam, but flat profile rather than domed like the Pipercross ones. I believe they were also for the XJS / Series 3 XJ12, were part number HMP-174 and from their Profilter range.

David Vizard did a lot of research on the k&n filters Christian & really rates them he actuly weighed he contents of different filters believe it or not and found the K&N to trap more than any other (Dont think the research was sponsored by k&n)

Hi Christian , is that 3 more on top of the 370 or have you solved other problems as well .
Mine only made 376 after re-fresh and I don't think there is any more I can do to it , but was told it would be tight for a while , so hope it will steadily improve , it does now feel silky smooth .

Is that at the flywheel Chris? Mine felt stronger at Brands but that could of been the 8 months off or the wet conditions but my biggest problem is the throttle as i am going from zero throttle to 80% within a very short distance so there is no travel which is not helped by the heavy throttle return spring i'm running, to light and the revs hang :{ After speaking to those more knowledgable than myself i'm hoping to get it working right before we leave.
The Kemmel straight will show me how strong the engines running smile

To say I'm a little excited would be a mild understatement bounce

Hi Christian , yep thats fly wheel on Joolz's dyno . Throttle travel should be an easy fix , I've got about 6 inches and have to stretch for full throttle , have also got 2 return springs due to slow throttle return , i don't like an on/off pedal it needs to be progressive as the car feels very snappy at the rear.
Have a great time at Spa (wish I was there) and hope you find the horses for kemmel.

apparently back in the day people used to complain about the amount of peddle travel when they first drove a Tuscan but as you say it is needed smile
