Oulton 2014
mike luck 2, 00.8
jack hawksworth 1,58.8
not perfect conditions and race never got into full stride with SC and red flag .
Will be interesting to see what they can do with Alex and Matt , the 4L engines have great low end grunt and spin up quickly , might suit Oulton

I guess if anyone wants to see if a particular car is competitive they can call JR and get on the grid at Oulton and find out ? We've had guest drivers and cars join for the final round in the past so a one-race entry isn't an issue.

I'm not sure anyone wanted to see if a particular car was competitive Joolz, more an engine size and configuration thing.

That's very kind Tim, but I need to finish mine first and when I do I intend to keep it.

If I bought another car unless it was a fresh build with everything as new, it would be stripped for rebuild anyway and I'm getting too old for that (OCD knows no age limits apparently smile )

I've still not written off a guest outing with the DTEC chaps next year just to gauge if the combination of me and the M is competitive against some of the V8 car driver combos, but no real desire to return to the series.

Thought I would have been out at Donington this year but it was 6 months too early...

Can't afford the fuel consumption at the moment .. a litre a minute into the engine at full chat and a gallon a minute onto the workshop floor last time I started it up ..

Well there was at times no V6 cars competing, and the uptake of the 4.0 cars seems to be growing and some good close racing, so can only be good for the series. also with the new A+ class, its makes the speed difference smaller also.

Maybe a class C and a C+ (or a C and D as Geoff suggested)

its a bit chicken and egg though you really need at least 4 cars turning up regularly ideally more to make a class. but without the class you probably dont get the car..

I'd like to see a couple of C v6 cars with handy drivers turn up and see how well they, slot in. If they cant compete then look to put a class for them, on the proviso until 4 cars it would be run as part of the class above..

I also think C v8 at the very least need a minimum weight limit

but thats just imho

Just bought a griff for my lad in C next year. Had a good look around the C cars at Mallory and was amazed and pleased to see how stock they are.
There's nothing in those cars that costs any real money and they still have loads of weight in them...they have not been chopped to pieces.
I think theyre absolutely running to the spirit of the regs and it looks like a really good class. I'll probably leave the Sag at home and have a punt myself one weekend next year...looked like alot of fun!

I'll defo dig my taz out if we can arrange a nice circuit with a few of us playing. if we judged it right we could all run in invitation as a one off lol
