Thruxton in a sunny August

Can't wait but not sure what I can't wait for. Who has raced there before and what do you think of it, I will be there August 13 &14th during next years summer heat wave.

The taz challenge raced there once back in the day. Nice circuit even if i did end up running a v5 lol

Dad raced there a couple of times with MGs. Ballsy track, especially out the back where it's flat out! Some of the MGs over the years were easily topping 150/160mph! It was quite bumpy apparently but probably been resurfaced since then...

I last raced my tuscan at Thruxton in 2004!Scary round the back having had a 100mph off in qually.155mph plus into the chicane.Technical & very fast.

Ha,ha. I'm not sure you can count Tiff's sideways laps in an M4 as coaching but it is fun to watch!

Great circuit though, fast, fast, fast - no straights to catch a breather so its hard work on driver and tyres. Seriously though, do watch the tyres. I had a massive blow out coming up to the chicane at 156mph this year in the Sag - luckily just caught it before hitting the grass.

You'll love it there, has some similarities to Combe in my view. 😀

Arr now a circuit like Combe I'm goner like a lot, the faster the better. I will be on 888's so no slix but it should get more lively after about 30 mins in as the tyres start to turn to mush. Roll on August. I take it Hui you were there in the Challenge in 2004 ? Daz have you got the video for that race ?

Yes, I was Perry....and my Ford Capri in 1985, and my Cosworth Sapphire in the mid 90's & the Stars & Stripes in about 1990!!!

This round of CSCC will see all 9 races on Motors TV not live, but three one hour shows repeated no dought. No extra charge on race fee which is a really nice surprise.
