yep G it ha been like that all winter on here same as last winter as well. No one can be bothered to keep the forum going. I,m inclined to agree now, that the forum should change to include all TVR racing. All the people who objected last year to the change have just not bothered to post anything up this winter to keep it going. It's hard work especially as I know most of the racers check in at last once a week but don't bother to post up anything what's that all about.

have to hold my hands up to the not using the forum, had head up arse most of winter, so to put that right I will share some good news, as everyone knows I have had some major problems with the red tuscan's fuelling over the last year, pain full at spa getting two good laps out of a whole weekend, when your chasing an intermittent fault it can be a character building and wallet emptying experience, we have totally re-wired the car with new everything, and still in qually on sunday the problem reared it's ugly head again, so Rob decided to strip the fuel system again, he found a filter had come loose inside the swirl pot and was randomly getting sucked down onto the fuel outlet causing all the grief, what a result, well done to Boss Racing for sorting it out, the car was an absolute animal after that, it was one second off of the silver sequential AJP from last years time when the Dog box jammed itself in neutral, so still had 15 litres of fuel in the car so would of expected a better lap time if it had gone to the end,
so a very happy chappy, I will be campaigning the red rover Tuscan in DTEC and Bernies V8's this year so all you AJP's better whatch out the rovers back in town biggrin

I've been splurging money on the cerbera so not had much to spend on the tuscan sadly. Got the equal length exhaust manifolds finished though and just bought some gsxr throttle bodies to finish the inlet system off. Progress is slow though.

I still need a complete exhaust for a rover Tuscan if anyone knows about one,

Tim, glad to hear that the filter in the swirl pot has cured the issues. Sorry to miss you before everybody left.

It was a really good day, dry and sunny. Special thanks to Rob who managed to get some electricity to my fuel pump to get me out.

Next out at Silverstone with CSCC New Millennium on 30th April.

slight understatement we got soaked...

had a bit of drama in s60s qual. paul got a good lap in then the safety car came out and when it went in the mob was misfiring then stopped.

great 20 mins between qualifiers and waiting for the car to come back.

turns out the top bush in the new dissy had failed allowing the shaft to wave about so the rotor arm snagged and snapped the key out of it!!!

diagnosed, new dissy in , engine timed up and out only missing the first lap of the next qualifying session !!!!

Bugger ! biggrin Glad it's sorted though Tim, those intermittent misfire faults are the worst. My Rover has developed an intermittent blowing up fault which we need to get to the bottom of, so im bringing the Purple AJP car out this Season.

Silverstone's shaping up to be a good meeting, hopefully you Bernie's racer's will keep them in good nick on the Saturday, ready for Sunday.

Perry.. are you doing some DTEC this season ?

Hi Ya Daz,

It will all depend on pennies towards the end of the season. Like you, I am having an engine rebuild on the Rover car. I decided to drag the engine into a more modern era from the 1989 configuration, well actually not a rebuild as much as a new engine completely, so I have the original engine to go with the car when Debbie sells it on after my death biggrin So I am going for the 4.6 rangy block, stroked to 4.8, Ross pistons, a pair of well filed heads, JE crossover manifold , 48 Jenvy throttle bodies, Carbon air boxes , Omex ECU, coil packs, new dry sump system ( leak free ) fingers crossed. That all adds up to a fair investment as you can imagine. The build is a little behind at the moment having missed the first two planned races of the season. I am at a Crowthorne.com trackday at Donnington in a few weeks then onto Spa for the
"Summer Classic ". Thruxton, Cadwell Park , Brands Grand Prix and Combe GT in the Chevy. I see the ex Winstanly sag is out in the Combe GT's this coming Sunday. Will hope to get out in "B" if all goes well.

Don't let Debbie work you to death, stay away from the decorating brush !!! yikes.

Sound's like you've got a lot going on with Tuscan's and got the balance right between owning and actually getting out and racing them... it's an art form that i've not quite mastered yet silly..

See you soon, im sure thumbup.

Off topic but , on ebay there is a cerbera speed 12 project and in the second picture you can just see a racing cerbera , blue wtth gold wheels forward facing exhausts , round tube chassis rails and cut away front arches . Is this a factory GT car ? ps located in Chester .
