That looked like great fun battling Daz. Blimey what is in the chim ? I thought the class C cars had to have 4lt standard engines in. How on earth can two AJP Tuscans struggle to keep up ?

Its the fastest standard 3.9 I've ever seen...keeps up with 500hp LS's it seems.

If we are talking Matts here... (can't see the vid yet as I'm on the ferry back from Spa) there nothing wrong with it. I was toe to toe with it for 3 races at Anglesey in Chris's Chim.
It's just well sorted and well driven. smile

Not concentrating on the Start Line lights (where i probably should been a touch more vigilant hehe ) dropped me from 4th to 9th by Old Hall ! My mistake, but still good fun getting back to 4th.

I could have made a couple of "full on" moves to get past Matt and Billy earlier and sooner ,but hey this is Club Racing on sunny Saturday - and i like to turn out a shiny car.. and bring one home too.

Just looks like some very good driving from mat there. The Rover engine has an advantage off the line even in a tuscan and the chim/griff chassis is better off the line than a tuscan.

Mat, is just driving a good line, and the Tuscans struggling to find a way around. when they get past he's dropped quite quickly on the vid as you would expect with the extra grunt.

I did have to laugh when Mat had a go back up the inside at shell oils, goo on son...

Hi Darren , epic footage and great driving . At the end of the first video as you crest over clay hill there is a big "thud" and shake of the camera , did the rear end leave the ground ? Matt was epic as ever , I thought I'd done enough one I passed him but he re passed me twice and stuck it right up the inside at Island hairpin twice , a worthy champion .
ps any more videos from anyone

Funny you should ask that question Chris, as 'yes' I have, as I was trailing the action!

We pick it up with 7 minutes remaining....

noun: chimaera
1.
(in Greek mythology) a fire-breathing Three Arsed monster that's difficult to circumvent hehe.

Some great defensive work from Matt S ,and a great dice for all three of you - that's what it's all about.
Still think your Gulf Tuscan is one of the loveliest out there Matt, and it managed to stay lovely.

Had a great time and I think got over my fear of Oulton! I will be better next time.

Rebuilding the Tuscan over the winter (well Jason is!) so, I will hopefully not laying down a smoke screen to all behind. I was also getting smoked out myself on the last race.laugh
