I remember Donnington 93....
I was there. It was one of the best races I've ever seen, despite being knee deep in mud at the entry to Craner.

There is no skill in being able to drive a car round with your foot flat to the floor all the time. We may as well just have them all sat in a pub on Playstations for 2hrs.

Stap me I yearn for the old days, when men were men and weren't scared of the rain and knew how to race and knew what mirrors were for. grumpy

I predict Kobayashi doing one of two things:

1- Getting a podium.

2- Causing a huuuuge crash while banzai-ing a corner.

Hope its #1

Blimey, EJ talking sense for a change! Safety Car starts and pre-emptive Safety Car periods are not what F1 should be doing.

If it's safe to race, then do so. Otherwise delay the thing until conditions improve.

So can kobayashi now change to new tyres and if so will 2nd be a grid position or does he need to move over and let massa past?

He got the free pitstop by building a big enough gap. Kobayashi wins out as he can get fresh rubber under red flag.
Alonso was all over him. Alonso pitted and the SC slipped in to give Fingers enough time to pit and join comfortably in the lead again.

Moto gp boys were racing at silverstone in the wet today.

These guys have 4 huge tyres and countless aero devices to help them.

I'd take a red flag over a procession behind the safety car counting the laps down but this is silly.

Horner now saying it's too dangerous aswel.

Show me that Jenson's line was the racing one, go on. 20mm from the wall is not the racing line.
Rewatch it. You will notice two things which completely contradict your ramblings:
1. He wasn't "20mm" from the wall.
2. He was on the dry line.
