A very emotional watch that, especially hearing his dad describe how we was deteriorating. Got me a bit choked up that bit. frown

Being a local lad I remember following him after reading about him in Performance Car magazine when he'd just started competing, (In an old 911 IIRC)...

I like to remember him like this though:

Great photo!

Being a Scotsman and a naive young boy at the time that him and Colin were competing, I always favoured Colin. Richard was a huge talent and definitely responsible for starting the smooth approach which is all to prevalent in the modern day WRC. I seem to remember a quote from Richard, I think from WRC GB 2001, where he said that Colin's left hand wheel was in the ruts in the ditch that Richard's right hand wheel had made. Total commitment and a huge loss to British and World Motorsport.

I really doubt we will ever see a repeat of that rivalry in rallying from 2 Brit's in any one season.

Great "Time for Tea" video, and thanks for posting it.

The topic of neurological disorders is something very close to my own heart; the lack of medical knowledge in this area compared to things like cardiology is very alarming.

I've just purchased a t-shirt and am very glad to be doing my bit for a very worthwhile cause. The more that can be done to understand neurological disorders and brain cancer, the better.

The shop on the foundation website seems to be down. Can anyone else get on to it?

Oh I'm being a tool, thought it would be a shop on that website, I didn't realise it went to another site. Only large left... would probably not fit me frown

just put in a donation via gift aid, least I could do in his memory.
A very sad chapter and desperately bad fortune.

Very moving video, such a tragedy. I was lucky enough to have met him, though at the time I never knew what he would become a few years later.

He was just a nice chap.

Thanks very much mate. Everyone who's bought a shirt has done a great thing. Feel good, look cool smile

When I sell anything on eBay I put 10% to the RBF so there are lots of ways of donating.

And the much missed genius showing how he earned his money at work on the 2001 RAC.
