What about andre agassi? He had a seriously poor part of his career where he took drugs and dropped to a ranking of 141, being relegated to feeder tennis series matches, only to come back and win grand slams and be back right at the top of the sport.

OK, so lets get carried away for a moment. Kimi seems to have made a bit of an impression in his first race back, lets say he keeps that up for the season and clearly proves to be better than the car is capable of delivering (I'm expecting the Lotus to slip back during the season)...

Come the end of the season, perhaps he'll be looking to find a top-line car if he possibly can. So where may there be a seat?

McLaren - No chance. I think Button/Hamilton will stay there for a good few more seasons.
Not so sure. I wouldn't be totally suprised to see Hamilton leave - maybe even before end of season. Nothing seems to have changed over winter and we still got the same sightly hunted/depressed/defensive Hamilton in post race interviews this w/e. Think he needs a new team to take him on, tell him he's the best and generally do the 'there there kiss it better' routine. Sadly looking more and more a huge but fragile talent on the verge of being squandered.

Plus - as he proved by moving to 'Hamilton's Team' Button is a harder and more ambitious guy than many gave him credit for. If he does well this season another new challenge (Ferrari/whoever) might appeal to him. I hope so.

Red Bull - Webber's contract is up at the end of the year. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Horner wanting two world champions in the car...
Ferrari - After his last stint there, it would never happen.
Mercedes - Schumi's contract is up at the end of the year. If Mercedes prove to be genuine contenders during the season, then it's a possibility. IIRC Haug seems to rate him highly...

I suspect he'll either stay put or end up in the Red Bull.
Alonso won a couple of titles with this team under a different name, I think they can get back there.

If Kimi could just do a little more in interviews now that would be the icing.

Not a chance. Kimi is Kimi and he doesn't do 'lots of words' biggrin

His English really isn't that bad, he just isn't the most talkative or eloquent guy around.

Interviewer - "So Kimi a great race, you got off to a flying start gaining positions on lap 1 and progressing through the midfield"
Kimi - "End was not too bad either"
Interviewer - "I agree, great finish"
Kimi - "No that was English, I just talk quietly"

This made me lol but not sure why. Probably because I can't tell if it is a genuine quote or not (could well be given the stuff Raikkonen comes out with at times).

Stunning ? not really.
I think Grosjean would of finished in front.
Yes, he would - if he had known when to concede a corner and preserve his car. Yes, Grosjean was quick on one Saturday, but Trulli was quick on a great many Saturdays, and he was certainly average.

Oh, and it's would have finished in front. The footsteps you can hear outside are the grammar hit squad. cop

Maybe he didn't want to touch you, and that was the best he could force himself to produce in the circumstances.

JEV was posting fastest sectors and laps in an STR along with other drivers and he's never driven at this level before so I don't see the point is relevant.

Apologies for not fitting the "Kimi is the best eva" love-in.

Yep. Would love to see him stuck in a Mclaren alongside Hamilton, I reckon it would take half a season before Lewis had a mental meltdown.

Anyone else see the potential for some Schumacher - Hamilton argy bargy at the first corner tomorrow?

He should of slowed down to go faster, had to opposite lock to correct the car constantly, missed several apexes.. generally looked a bit scrappy.. compare to Button who was much smoother - even Lewis or Schu, although Lewis did have a stinking big lockup in to the last corner.
If Kimis lap was tidier he could of got on the front row I think, there was easily a tenth or two there.

Id suggest he was more of a possibility at RB than Mclaren.
