The guy that was running the BMW Challenge (and 205 Cup) got very ill and sadly passed away last year. There are still Challenge spec cars being used but no championship for them at the moment.
That's a great shame, in every respect.Pity no one else could pick up the baton. Given the success of the Compact Cup on the circuits, something similar in rallying would be a ready made addition to the Challenge?

I've heard talk of a similar championship (but for a wider range of cars) being planned but I'm not aware of anything been announced about it yet.
Thought i'd replied to this last night, but maybe not...weird...anyway the above was/is being mooted for a 'rally first' fairly standard broad range of makes series I believe..not sure who's setting it up thoughHowever BMW specific, hopefully in next 6 weeks we'll have details of a new one make (BMW) cup , mixed surface series, very much aimed at clubmen and trying to emulate a little of what Pat Flynn did...
Cheers

Sounds interesting. I've also recently found out about the MSVR/ Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship; Tarmac special stage rallies taking place within the confines of some of the UK circuits. The first event is on Nov 7th at Oulton Park.
Clearly not single make but Might be worth a look.
